When I was in high school, I was dating this guy who didn’t let me wear makeup.
He wouldn’t let me take selfies.
He didn’t allow me to wear anything other than T-shirt’s, jeans or sweats.
He wouldn’t let me hang out with any of my friends, and definitely no one alone.
He didn’t let me to go to my family events because he wasn’t allowed there.
While I was at a school one day, he scrapped the first thing I ever bought for myself, the van I was living in at the time, and spent the money on drugs (k2) and I came back to an empty space my home used to be in. All of my stuff gone too.
I bought that van with the only money I’ve ever seen from my father.
He got $350 and high for two days for it.
He was controlling, insulting,
manipulative, addicted, addictive, abusive, the only thing I knew, the only thing I thought I had, suffocating, damaged.
This one is for all the girls who dated someone like him, and ESPECIALLY for those of you for still are dating/married to one like this.
You are better than that.
You deserve better than that.
You are worth more than that.
No one is worth the bruises or the destruction.
You deserve to take selfies you feel like the goddess you are in!
