This morning during yoga, I had an extremely emotional moment on my mat.
This is a regular occurrence.
But this was the first time it happened in front of 13 people who were all strangers to me last week. .

It’s no secret that I practice yoga to heal, physically, spiritually, emotionally. That’s what it has always been to me.
The movements bring up emotions and revelations in my life that would have otherwise never raised to the surface.
I have picked myself up from a little ball of sweat and tears on my mat ready to move on and heal far too many times for me to count.
Today was the first time someone approached me in that position
Two somebodies. They told me I was okay.
They told me that I was beautiful, capable, and doing this.
They hugged me.
When I walked out of the hut after class, I heard “SQUAW”
I looked above the yoga hut, and there: my spirit animal was eating breakfast.
This beautiful hawk was perched so effortlessly, here for me.
This personal message. For me.
.

Don’t hold yourself back.
Vulnerability.
Authenticity.
Honesty with our own emotions.
These are all such important traits and aspects of our life that we absolutely summon as much as we can of in order to connect.
To heal.
To expand.
To move beyond the idea of who we want to be, and get closer to who we truly are. .

It’s okay to cry in front of strangers.
Especially in yoga. .
