#DancingIntoFall on Day 3 with Flipped Grip 💃🏻🍂💃🏻🌿🍂
It’s so easy to get lost in comparison,
so easy to look at photos online and compare yourself, your life, your skills, your appearance, based merely on an image you see online.
So easy to look at the progress or life of another and wish it was something you had.
So easy to look, watch, and wish.
Easy to want. Easy to be upset. Easy to complain. But you know what’s hard? What’s admirable, motivating, inspiring and gets you what you want? Trying. Taking action. Doing the uncomfortable things to make your dreams reality, and changing your daily habits to create that.
I think it’s important that we talk about this, all of these feelings of comparison.
I think it’s healthy that we admit (to someone) when we are feeling weak, confused, or lesser than the images we surround ourselves with.
Comparison leaves us feeling weak, lesser, and confused, but in a strange way I use it as fuel. To better myself. To do more. To get up and do something with myself.
It’s never good to get caught up in something, to dwell for too long, but it is okay to find ways to use weaknesses your advantage.
